Refunds

Various circumstances might cause a student to have an overpayment to their student account. This may result from scholarships, loans, grants or payments.

If a student account is showing a credit balance, the student might be eligible for a refund.  To determine if you have a credit balance, you can check your account status in Quikpay.

Getting Your Refund

NEW THIS FALL:  DIRECT DEPOSIT REFUNDS
Beginning Fall 2008, students will be able to sign up to receive their refunds by direct deposit. This is the safest, quickest, most efficient way to receive your refund.  Simply log in to DORI:

Select:
Self Service Banner> Student Information>
Student Account> Access QuikPay

Choose “Direct Deposit” from the menu and follow the prompts to enroll.  Please have your routing and checking/savings account number to complete the process.
Enroll by August 27, 2008 to have your direct deposit in place for the first refunds of the Fall term, scheduled for Friday, September 5, 2008.

PAPER CHECKS
If you do not enroll for direct deposit, you will receive a paper check.  These can be:

  • Mailed to the students’ permanent address
  • Mailed to Parents who signed the Parent Plus loan (if applicable)
  • Picked up on Fridays between noon and 2:30 pm

Mailing Refunds to a Local Address

Students who wish to have their refund checks sent to an address other than their permanent address should complete the refund form and return to Student Accounts, Room 208 Administration Building.

  • Download refund form.
  • Fill out student name, account number
  • Indicate address refund should be mailed and include phone number
  • Student must sign and date the request.
  • If the payee of the refund is someone other than the student, please provide payee's name and address.
